A Week of Indecision

This past week, all sorts of things started happening with our adoption, but we are currently faced with more questions than answers. Don't worry! The good news is that we know that we will eventually have children added to the bunch, but we don't know who or when or where. Everything seemed to collide last week and we are faced with some things that we have to think about very seriously.

Mr. T and I are of the Christian faith and this week we spent much time talking together and prayfully considering everything laid out before us. (We have very different ways of doing this since we are two very different individuals, but God reaches us in a way we hear it.) I am so amazed and thankful of some of the words I've heard that seem to come at just the right time. For example, today's church sermon talked a lot about trusting that God is with us and that things are going to be ok, even when you really aren't sure. And I believe it. Somehow, all of this stuff is going to work out as long as we have faith. It might not work out the way WE want it to, because we don't have the big picture. We just keep asking for guidance and stay open to the something bigger than ourselves.

I wish I could tell more, but it is a LOT of stuff up in the air right now, so we really need to wait before we can share things with people. Thank you to everyone who offered me supportive words this past week!! I was WAY overwhelmed a few days ago but I am slowly breathing again.

During this week, I also stumbled upon some very interesting segments from an author Beth Guckenberger, whose new book Reckless Faith is due this August. Beth and her husband live in Mexico and devote their lives to serving orphans. As another "thirty-something", I was inspired by her courage and faith. It is something I strive to be...doing things to stretch myself to my full potential, even if the path is not super easy or comfortable (the proverbial Road Less Traveled). Check out these two video segments that really moved me. (They both take a few minutes to watch.) One day I will learn to add a video link in my blog, but for today you just have to click on the links below!
